Position DescriptionThe Community Liaison is responsible for developing key relationships in an assigned community that will assist the university in meeting its fundraising, programming and community awareness goals by conducting programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC).
Major/Essential Functions- Act as a liaison between the internal departments to strengthen relationships between the providers of Texas Tech Physicians.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local and regional physicians, medical groups and health care providers to increase referrals and partnerships.
- Conduct regular visits, meetings. and presentations with healthcare providers to promote services, share updates, introduce new providers, and gather feedback, in the Permian Basin and surrounding communities.
- Serve as a contact for referring physicians, addressing their concerns and ensuring a seamless referral process to the central TTUHSC Referral Team.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement outreach strategies, promotional materials and programs that address community needs and priorities.
- Monitor referral patterns, analyze data, and identify opportunities to improve physician engagement and patient access.
- Assist with the planning and execution of networking events, educational programs, and community outreach initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and regulatory changes affecting referral networks.
- Develop and maintain a regional provider directory.
- Create and manage a collaborative calendar of monthly activities, clinic visits, both upcoming and past, to create visibility for the clinics and combine resources.
- Oversee physician onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Travel across multiple counties in West Texas and New Mexico.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, marketing, or a related field) and 2+ years of experience in physician relations, healthcare sales, business develop mentor a related role.
- OR 6 years of work experience in physician relations or business development.
