Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join the innovative Mobile Clinic. This mobile team travels throughout the County of San Bernardino, providing on-site care, diagnostic testing, treatment, and education to underserved communities. The team includes a practitioner, a registered nurse and/or licensed vocational nurse, medical assistant, and a respiratory care practitioner, working within our community and schools to reduce asthma-related hospitalizations and improve our patient’s quality of life. Respiratory Care Practitioners have an opportunity to participate in the Clinical Ladder. The program provides an opportunity to earn additional compensation as Respiratory Care Practitioners progress up the clinical ladder and continue to advance and develop their clinical knowledge and skills while providing direct patient care.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER


Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for this position must pass a background investigation and medical examination including drug screening.

Shift Availability: Applicants may be required to work various shifts, which may include weekends and holidays.

Travel Notice : Travel throughout the County is required for this position, incumbents are assigned to the ARMC Mobile Clinic's mobile vehicle to provide services throughout San Bernardino County. The mobile clinic is driven by all Mobile Clinic staff, based on a rotating schedule. A valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment.

Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet ALL of the following:

LICENSE:
Must possess and maintain a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the California State Respiratory Care Board.

CREDENTIAL:
Must possess and maintain a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

CERTIFICATION:
Must possess Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
