San Bernardino County Fire Protection District is recruiting for a
Media Supervisor to oversee the production, editing, and publishing of broadcast quality audio, video, and graphical presentations, public service announcements, magazine content and other publication development and design. The incumbent is responsible for completing social media analytics, live meetings, monitoring social media and newsworthy content pursuant to the department and County standard practice for intranet/internet, instructing current trends, technology, and County functions.

Memoranda of Understanding MOU
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Background: A successful background check is required prior to assignment.
Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
Shift: Require some evenings, weekends, and on-call to cover Fire District activities and on-scene active incidents which occur in extreme conditions (high heat, extreme wind, sun, rain, snow, etc.).
Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
Minimum Requirements EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of related experience in communications, marketing, multimedia production, or public information, including primary responsibility for organizing, coordinating, and overseeing media relations and outreach strategies to support organizational events and initiatives.
--AND-- LEAD/SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of lead or supervising work experience over a support services staff.
--AND-- EDUCATION: A completed Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in television or film production, multimedia or educational media, mass communication, English, journalism, public or business administration, public relations, marketing, or a closely related field.
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate for this position will have extensive knowledge of social media platforms, digital communications, and emerging media trends. They will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to develop clear, engaging, and professional content for a variety of audiences and platforms. Experience working within an emergency services or public safety environment is highly desirable.
