Description
The Job Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a
Healthcare Program Administrator who provides service line leadership in collaboration with physician dyad partners to ensure quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, patient experience, and growth objectives are achieved. The incumbent will be responsible for the coordinated performance of an assigned clinical portfolio and will operate with a high degree of independence and accountability, supporting the dyad partnership model between physician leadership and administration. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for service line performance management; financial oversight and cost containment; volume growth and market development; quality and patient experience outcomes; throughout and operational efficiency; and alignment with organizational strategic goals.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following: - Leads operational oversight of assigned service line(s) in partnership with administrators and physician leaders; establishes service line priorities, performance targets, and resource allocation strategies aligned with organizational strategic goals.
- Develops and monitors service line dashboards including quality KPIs, financial performance, productivity, patient access, patient throughput, case mix index, regulatory readiness, and patient experience metrics; analyzes trends and implements corrective action plans.
- Collaborates with clinical directors, unit managers, clinic managers, revenue cycle, CDI, revenue integrity, supply chain, and informatics to optimize service line operations and financial performance.
- Oversees development and implementation of service line business plans, growth strategies, and market expansion initiatives; evaluates volume projections, payor mix, and reimbursement implications.
- Supports value-based programs, pay-for-performance initiatives, and population health strategies impacting the service line; ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and licensing requirements.
- Identifies operational inefficiencies and leads process improvement initiatives related to scheduling, staffing models, departmental coordination, access management, supply utilization, and workflow redesign.
- Monitors service line budget performance including labor management, premium pay utilization, contract labor, vendor agreements, and cost-per-case or cost-per-unit metrics; recommends financial strategies.
- Coordinates weekly or recurring service line governance meetings; ensures transparency of results through dashboards, departmental boards, and internal communication platforms.
- Conducts operational analyses, audits, and special studies related to service line performance; prepares executive-level reports and presentations with actionable recommendations.
- Acts as liaison between medical staff, hospital leadership, support services, external agencies, community partners, and regulatory bodies regarding service line initiatives and performance.
- Assesses educational and training needs related to service line objectives; coordinates staff development initiatives to support quality improvement and operational excellence.
- Attends professional meetings, conferences, and legislative updates; ensures service line alignment with emerging healthcare trends and regulatory changes.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

Minimum Requirements Candidates must meet both of the following: EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience managing healthcare operations, service line performance, or healthcare program administration, which includes responsibility for quality outcomes, financial performance, and operational efficiency.

EDUCATION: A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration, Nursing, or a closely related field.
