Job Summary

To provide aerospace-related STEAM instruction to upper elementary and middle school students in Santa Barbara County, primarily Santa Maria, Lompoc, Guadalupe, and Orcutt. Responsibilities include the design, development, documentation, and delivery of hands-on, interactive classroom and/or virtual reality-based learning experiences aligned with grant objectives through the Career Technical Education (CTE) Department.

Requirements / Qualifications

For Middle School (7th or 8th Grade) Assignment, possession of one of the following: A. A valid Multiple Subject Teaching Credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) with demonstrated experience delivering STEAM/STEM instruction; or B. A valid Single Subject Teaching Credential in a related field (such as science, mathematics, engineering, or industrial and technology education); or C. A valid Designated Subjects Career Technical Education (CTE) Teaching Credential in a related industry sector such as Engineering and Architecture, Manufacturing and Product Development, or Transportation; or D. Minimum three (3) years of relevant aerospace, engineering, or STEAM-related industry experience, and eligibility for or enrollment in a Commission-approved Designated Subjects Career Technical Education credential program upon hire.
