The Position Napa County is recruiting to establish an Eligibility List for the position of Senior Office Assistant. The eligibility list established from this recruitment will be used to fill full-time, part-time, limited term and extra help vacancies. The list established from this recruitment process will be abolished in approximately three months from the eligibility establishment date. If you were not successful in this recruitment, please apply again in the future to ensure you are on the latest list for consideration. This list will replace any previously established lists. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Experience and Education To qualify for this classification, an individual must possess the following combination of experience and education that would likely produce the required knowledge, skills and abilities. A desirable combination is:
Experience:
Three years of significant, directly related and progressive general clerical experience.
Education:
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by specialized clerical training.
License or Certificate*:
Certain positions assigned to this class may require possession of a valid California Driver's License.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Certain positions may require bilingual (Spanish) speaking skills. If bilingual skills are required, applicants will be required to take and pass a bilingual (Spanish) exam.
THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS Application Deadline 5:00pm PDT, Thursday, April 9, 2026. Minimum Qualification Screening Candidates will be screened for minimum qualifications the week of April 13, 2026. Written Exam Tentatively by the week of April 27, 2026. O nly the most qualified applications from the scoring of the written exam will move forward.
Establish Eligible List Tentatively by the week of May 4, 2026 . Candidates who are successful at passed the written exam will be placed on the eligibility list and may be considered for current and future vacancies up to three months from the eligibility list establishment date.

Napa County employees automatically become Disaster Service Workers.
