Part-Time Safety, Security, & Emergency Management Intern
Description
ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the position of Part-Time Safety, Security, & Emergency Management Intern.
The Emergency Management Intern position will be responsible for:
- Assisting with documenting training sessions and maintaining emergency management files.
- Supporting the review and updating of emergency response plans.
- Participating in preparedness training activities.
- Contributing to the planning and execution of emergency exercises.
The Safety & Security Intern position will be responsible for:
- Supporting inventory safety supplies and preparing quotes.
- Maintaining SDS database.
- Safety Training Recordkeeping - Updates online, classroom and tailgate safety training records and update information in online database.
- Security Recordkeeping - Scans and logs visitor information and contracted guard activity sheets.
- Escorting fire extinguisher contracted service and maintaining updated list of extinguisher service dates and location.
- Completing quarterly inventory of First Aid Kits at treatment facilities and restocks kits; ordering supplies as needed.
- Supporting Records Management needs for the team.
- Providing other safety and security related services and duties as needed.
Please Note: Part-time employment will not lead to permanent employment. Part-time hourly employees are used to fill positions normally less than twenty (20) hours per week. Part-time employees do not receive benefits.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- Must be a local student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Emergency and Crisis Management, Criminal Justice, or closely related field. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Graduation from high school or equivalent.
