ITSD-DOR has an opening for a Software Quality Control Technician. In this position, you will utilize your skills to analyze and execute test plans, conduct hands-on and automated application testing, quantify and qualify test results, and communicate outcomes to other team members. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting DOR and the citizens of Missouri.

• The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD), supporting Business Systems Development (BSD).

• Software testing of integrations, functionality, business rules, data conversions, mobility, performance, security, and more.
• The position requires a great deal of interaction with Department of Revenue (DOR) customers and potentially other stakeholders, such as vendors.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with all ITSD functional areas.
• Be responsible for ensuring customer expectations are being met and proper procedures are being followed.
• Understand and further develop detailed business requirements based on system knowledge.

• Assist in building test scripts in order to test new or existing features.
• Apply testing techniques to ensure that solutions make it to production with zero or minimal defects.
• Familiarity with or ability to learn Azure DevOps (ADO), SQL, Visio, Word, and Excel.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum development process.
• Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
