What You'll Be Doing
The Wake County General Services Administration (GSA)Student Intern position for current undergraduates and graduate students! This position will provide excellent exposure to work in a local government setting. You’ll work on one or more projects that will provide you with relevant experience when looking for a full-time job in the future. This internship is scheduled to end August 2025.
In addition to working on your identified project(s), GSA incorporates several other elements into the internship:
Ability to attend meetings that provide broad exposure to the entire department's operations
Cohort experience with interns from other departments - participating in site visits, informational interviews and ride-along(s) to provide an overview of all County departments
Potential summer projects include: Assist the Business Administration Division with a budget and finance project using analytical skills for forecasting/modeling Assist with process mapping to document department processes and suggest improvements Support development of initiatives in GSA’s Priority Area of Professional Development and Upward Mobility It is possible that other projects will emerge between now and when the internship starts. We try to match interns with a project(s) that best fits their interests and goals.
The work will be primarily in office in downtown Raleigh (parking available).

General Services Administration (GSA) manages Wake County owned and leased facilities, the Wake County fleet, provides criminal justice support and supports a number of General Government business units. The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
Depending on the role, must be actively pursuing either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related discipline No specific experience required Please include ALL prior work experience on your application and resume.

Current graduate student pursuing a graduate degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Policy or a related program
