Student Intern - IT Project Management Team (District Temp-PT)
Description
This District Temp Part Time Student Intern position will receive training from the IT Project Management Team. Candidates should have an interest in entering the field of Operational technology (e.g,. SCADA, ICS, DCS, instrumentation, automation) or water/wastewater. This role would be in support of Operational Technology initiatives and projects. Operational Technology experience or education is not necessary; however, applicants should have general familiarity with the Windows operating system. Programming/scripting in languages such as Python, DOS/Windows shell script (i.e., batch), or familiarity with C, C++, or C# languages desirable. This position will perform other related IT Project Management duties as required.
Schedule: (PART TIME) 44/36, Monday through Friday with every other Friday off.
(Position Terms on 12/31/2025) To view the full job description click here: Student Intern EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience: Current enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university carrying a minimum of 12 semester units or 8 quarter units with junior or senior standing in a related major and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or current enrollment in an accredited graduate degree program in a related major with a grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
Related major is defined as: Computer Science or Computer Engineering
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTSLicense(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
