Pay Range: $108,870 - $141,530 annually ($52.34 - $68.04 per hour)
Job Posting Closing on: Wednesday, February 26, 2025 Workdays & Hours: FLSA Exempt position. Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm; some evening/weekend work required. Hybrid on-site work model available with supervisory approval; management required to be on-site at least 4 days per week.

An IT Solutions Manager position is available with the City of Fort Worth’s IT Solutions Network & Voice Services division. We are looking for a candidate that is a self-motivated professional with a breadth of knowledge relating to network-related equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team with the challenge of having to work on daily tasks and network project assignments simultaneously. They will have the ability to analyze, prioritize, and assign work to team members. They will have experience managing vendor relationships and systems life cycle management.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or a related information technology field;
- Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in communications, security and/or computer operations including two (2) years of administrative and supervisory responsibility;
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Candidate selected for hire must pass a CJIS background check (see below for details)
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience managing Cisco network devices;
- Experience working on enterprise network infrastructure supporting multiple data centers, more than 5,000 users, 200 network devices, and 10 or more remote locations;
- Experience with vendor management, firewall management, CUCM management, wireless management, and network architecture & design; and
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, PCNSE, or ACMA are a plus!
The IT Solutions Manager’s job responsibilities include: - Manage the team responsible for administration of the following network infrastructure technologies: wireless networks, local & wide-area networks, telephony (CUCM), firewalls, web proxy, and load balancers
- Management of all leased network connections for more than 200 City locations
- Manage all project work conducted by the Network/Telephony Team; and provide network architecture/design recommendations for projects as needed
- Build a high-performing team that is well-rounded and well-trained across the spectrum of network infrastructure technologies mentioned above
- Communicate all work efforts with your team, IT Solutions staff, and internal & external customers

Physical Demand Sedentary Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Background Check Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
