OverviewT he Ranch, Larimer County's premier Fairgrounds and Event Center, is actively seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team as an Internship Temp!
As an intern, you'll a ssist and coordinate public and special event utilization of Fairgrounds facilities and buildings. Assist in marketing efforts of the event complex, its events, and activities. The Event Intern will be assigned a Ranch Event Coordinator that will supervise and oversee all tasks.
The typical schedule for this position is part-time, ranging from 0 to 19 hours per week with a flexible schedule. Hours will typically fall on weekdays, weekends, and evenings, depending on event requirements. Availability from July 28th to August 9th is required, with varying hours during this period. The role is expected to last 3-4 months.

ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Collaborating with event organizers to assess event details, including facility rentals, ancillary item rentals, insurance, catering, event layouts, staffing, ticketing, parking, traffic coordination, and marketing efforts.
- Supporting Event Coordinators by assisting with event setups and executions, ensuring smooth logistics and effective communication with staff and vendors.
- Managing vendor arrangements and contracts for equipment, materials, food and beverage services, security, signage, and other event-related needs under the guidance of Ranch Event Coordinators.
- Developing event-specific cost estimates under the supervision of Ranch Event Coordinators.
- Creating and distributing marketing materials to support Sales Managers, including mailings, emails, and database organization.
- Coordinating event scheduling, generate invoices, respond to public inquiries about facilities, and maintain event records in collaboration with Scheduling Coordinators.
- Executing projects assigned by Senior Events Managers, Event Coordinators, Scheduling Coordinators, and Sales Managers.
- Performing additional tasks as needed to ensure successful event operations.

What we're looking for:
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to navigate various software programs.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively serve as a liaison between volunteers and Larimer County Fair staff.
- Comprehensive on-site training for this position.
- Hands-on experience working closely with an assigned Ranch Event Coordinator before transitioning to independent event management.
- The intern will collaborate closely with a Ranch Event Coordinator, gaining experience before taking on independent event coordination, which will be assigned at the discretion of The Ranch staff and with the intern’s approval.
