Accountant Manager Division of Behavioral Health
Description
Job Location: This position will be located at 1706 E. Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO 65102

The Division of Behavioral Health is seeking an Accountant Manager for Central Office domiciled in Jefferson City, Missouri. This position reports to the Director of Fiscal Operations.
Responsible for all community financial operations (which includes prevention, treatment, and recovery services for both mental health and substance use),
Implement new funding received for community,
Oversight of all community provider payments and ensure the correct funding is used,
Approve all contract action requests for community providers,
Analyze cash received to determine increase or decrease in revenues and adjustments in spending,
Work with appropriate policy staff for annual prevention allocations and ensure 20% mandate is met for the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant set aside for prevention is met,
Take lead on the new MOVERS system to include joint decision-making efforts regarding all DBH chart of accounts,
Creating and interpreting reports for management decision making,
Participating in the development of improved procedures and controls.
Required Qualifications:
Experience using a Microsoft Windows Operating System
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Experience with Medicaid
Experience with:
o interpreting this information into meaningful reports for management decision making
o developing improved procedures and controls
Ability to analyze financials and alert management of outliers.
