ABOUT THE POSITION

The Clark County Department of Social Services Office of HIV is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Senior Management Analyst position.

The Senior Management Analyst will have a lead role in managing federal grants including Ryan White Part A, Minority AIDS Initiative, and Status Neutral which provide funds for medical care and supportive services to eligible people with HIV, as well as HIV & STI prevention; and leadership in developing and implementing the statewide integrated HIV prevention and care plan.

The position includes program and community leadership, supervision and development of up to five Management Analysts, program oversight and development, event planning, community engagement, evaluation, and quality improvement.

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

Some positions may be Grant Funded. Grant Funded positions are subject to continuation based on availability of grant funds and the employee will be terminated without right of appeal when such funds are no longer available.

Some positions may be used to fill term Limited-Permanent positions. The selected candidates will be hired for a special project or duties of a limited duration and be required to sign a term of employment letter specifying condition and exact dates of employment. The successful selected candidates will be eligible for benefits during the duration of employment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree with major course work in business or public administration or a related field, AND four (4) years of full-time professional experience in performing administrative, budgetary, operational or similar analyses and studies. Professional level experience that has provided the skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions at this level may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years. Experience in a public agency setting and project or programmatic lead experience is desirable.

Licensing and Certification: Specified positions may be required to possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
