Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Cal Poly President, the Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for Cal Poly, Solano Campus serves on the President’s Cabinet and is the administrative leader and chief executive officer for Cal Poly, Solano Campus. Responsible for all aspects of the campus, the VP and CEO provides strategic vision, leadership, and management for all campus operations and initiatives. In partnership with the Provost & Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, the VP & CEO supervises the Cal Poly Maritime Academy Superintendent and has oversight on the operational aspects of the Cal Poly Maritime Academy. The VP & CEO drives long-term strategic planning, university development, enrollment, and ensures compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations, Cal Poly and California State University policy, and adheres to collective bargaining agreements. The incumbent advocates for the campus and serves in a key role with local, state and federal government officials.

The position will be located at Cal Poly - Solano Campus in Vallejo, California.

Cal Poly, Solano Campus is part of the California State University system and home to Cal Poly Maritime Academy. Situated on 92-acres, the scenic waterfront campus houses the only degree-granting maritime academy on the West Coast. Cal Poly, Solano Campus leads in Learn by Doing and combines classroom learning with hands-on applied technology, leadership development, and global awareness offering multiple academic programs. The training ship Golden Bear is a key part of the campus experience. Programs and study-abroad opportunities provide students international business, logistics, maritime policy, economic security, renewable energy, and other disciplines with a first-hand exposure to those practices in locations around the world.

The anticipated hiring range for this role is $280,000-$290,000. Note that the offer is calculated based on the background and relevant years of experience of the individual selected.
