OverviewLarimer County is seeking a motivated and inclusive
Community Support Manager to lead a team of Community Support Specialists in the Benefits and Community Support (BCS) Division.
This role plays a vital part in processing eligibility for food, medical, and financial assistance, ensuring that individuals and families in our community receive the support they need. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who fosters innovation, teamwork, and a commitment to service excellence.
The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Overseeing activities and personnel for food, medical, and financial assistance programs.
- Developing and implementing plans, priorities, procedures, and guidelines.
- Hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.
- Assigning and adjusting workloads to meet department deadlines and client needs.
- Reviewing case documentation and actions for accuracy.
- Advising staff on problem cases, work methods, control systems, and policy interpretation.
- Ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity in the application of benefits and policies.
- Evaluating program compliance and recommending system improvements.
- Analyzing, interpreting, and providing input on county and state program policies and procedures.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience required.
- Three (3) years of experience in eligibility and support programs or a directly related field required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.

Supplemental InformationThis position is a hybrid position and will require at least one day/week in the office. You will be required to have adequate internet access and space for remote work. Larimer County provides an annual remote work stipend to assist with equipment and office supply needs for remote workspaces.
All new employees and rehires will be required to submit fingerprints for a CBI criminal background check (c.r.s. 26-6-104).
All staff working in the Adult Protection Unit or Office on Aging will be required to submit information for a Colorado Adult Protective Services data system check (c.r.s. 26-3-1-111). An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of required pre-employment checks or testing.
