Description

Working with the Development Services Team in the Building Division, our Permit Technician assists customers in navigating the full construction process. This includes processing intakes, building permit applications, calculating permit fees, and providing coordination services to internal and external customers. They respond to general questions related to adopted codes, city ordinances, and standard construction practices and requirements. They provide quality customer service at the front counter, on the phone, and through written communication. This position requires strong construction knowledge and excellent customer service skills to handle a diverse customer base.

The salary range for the Permit Tech I is $20.67 - $27.90 per hour with a hiring range of $20.67 - $24.29 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

The salary range for the Permit Tech II is $22.67 - $31.73 per hour with a hiring range of $22.67 - $27.20 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
