Description

The Office of Workforce and Community Initiatives (OWCI) is seeking candidates to fill a Program Specialist position located in the St. Louis Region of Missouri. The base location must be within one of the following counties and will be dependent upon the individual selected and office availability: St. Louis County, or St. Louis City. Some travel may be required.

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



Two or more years of experience in a professional or technical job classification; and possession of a high school diploma or poof of high school equivalency. OR

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and, four or more years of professional experience providing social services; or conducting investigations or audits of social services providers, fundraising or event planning, training, relationship/partnership building, grant/contract management, or sales.

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

A written exercise may be part of the application process.

Preferred Experience: Ability to coordinate and work with multiple agencies at one time; knowledge of employment and training programs as well as FSD benefit programs.
