Description

Speech-Language Pathologist - Missouri School for the Deaf (MSD), 505 E. 5 th St., Fulton, MO 65251

Salary: $57,432 annually (11-month position with month of July off)

This is an eleven-month exempt position with primary responsibility of evaluating, coordinating, implementing, and/or monitoring the treatment of communication disorders to Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children from birth to 21 years of age as determined through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) procedures of evaluation and individual education plans (IEP). The Outreach Services Administrator supervises this position.

Essential Functions:

The incumbent must have the ability to perform the essential functions below either with or without reasonable accommodations .

• Administers, interprets, and reports results of diagnostic evaluations to assess speech/language/communication abilities of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing including, but not limited to the following: articulation, vocal quality, auditory skills, expressive and receptive language, sign language (ASL), speechreading, pragmatics, and functional communication.
