Why you’ll love this position:

This is a Laborer position with OA/FMDC will participate in the maintenance and care of buildings in Capitol Complex and other various OA owned buildings within Jefferson City, working Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. Must be available for occasional evening or weekend work and perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do:

• Preforming scheduled preventive maintenance
• Light electrical
• Plumbing
• Painting
• Cleaning sidewalks
• Picking up trash and debris
• Assist in cleaning of parking lots and patching asphalt
• Assisting full time staff in building and equipment maintenance and repair of irrigation breaks when needed.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Ability to pick up/carry 50 lbs.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older
• Must have, and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license.

Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate's name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.

This position is physically demanding. Examples of job duties may include prolonged periods of walking/ standing/ sitting/ bending, climbing ladders, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, working in inclement weather and working on uneven surfaces. This list is not all inclusive, but a general representation of duties that may be encountered in this position.
