Salary Range: $65,000 - $72,000
General Description and Classification Standards Performs a variety of architectural work in the conceptualization, programming, design, production and observation of capital and related projects. This is the journey-level professional class. Duties may include, but are not limited to: preparing maps and 3-D models; providing technical expertise within the work group; preparing estimates, reports and plans.
Supervision Received Performs work under general supervision with review and advice from manager or a senior level professional.

Performs complex assignments in the programming, design, production and observation of capital and related projects; solicits and documents input from internal and external clients, coordinates with applicable regulatory agencies.
Prepares highly detailed maps, renderings and 3-D models of proposed projects and developments, neighborhoods and other areas, as well as informational and promotional images, utilizing appropriate combinations of freehand and mechanical drawing and a variety of computer programs and software.
Coordinates and participates in public meetings; makes presentations to user groups, boards and commissions.
Identifies and confers with a variety of resources and agencies in obtaining information and providing coordination applicable to assigned architectural and visualization projects.
Provides technical expertise within work group and other departments; provides/coordinates staff training.
Prepares detailed reports and plans; develops schedules and estimates; liaisons with related agencies and organizations.
Researches and maintains best practices related to architectural design and production, as well as graphics and
Decision Making Selects from multiple procedures and methods to accomplish tasks.
Leadership Provided Serves as a technical resource or mentor to other employees. May lead or instruct less experienced workers in high level or technical jobs.

Knowledge of: architecture, architectural practice, details of planning and designing of public buildings, and groups of buildings; of architectural and building materials; of costs, codes, and construction methods; of structural, electrical, and mechanical engineering as related to buildings.
Skill in the use of personal computers and standard office software and software related to architectural design and visualization.
Ability to: make and analyze comprehensive architectural designs; to present information clearly and effectively in pictorial and written forms; to analyze situations accurately, and adopt an effective course of action.
Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a degree related to the core functions on this position.
1 year of increasingly responsible, related professional experience in the practice of architecture.
Preferred Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a degree related to the core functions on this position and 2 years' of increasingly responsible, related professional experience in the practice of architecture.
Licensures and Certifications Registered Architect in Georgia desirable.
