Summary

Business Intelligence Specialist, Level 2(on-site/hybrid)The Business Intelligence Specialist 2 is a development team member for the Business Intelligence team and is responsible for the independent development of quality, on-time solutions. The role requires a passion for data and technology, an understanding of business processes and goals, and the ability to combine these specialties into actionable business intelligence solutions for a rapidly growing organization.This job will have access to confidential and sensitive information, and therefore requires ongoing discretion and strict compliance to all information security policies.ResponsibilitiesDevelop data and analytical solutions to meet business needsCollaborate with the BI team and keep the projects on time and tracked accurately in TFSAcquire an in-depth understanding of the organization's source systemsAcquire an in-depth understanding of all of the business intelligence toolsetAcquire an in-depth understanding of the Select business units, their processes, and goalsCoordinate testing to ensure all BI solutions meet the highest quality standardsProvide insights, recommendations, and strategies to continuously improve processes and workflowComplete special projects and other functions, as requiredQualificationsBS or BA degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience1+ years of experience in reporting and analytics1+ years of experience with enterprise data (SQL and/or data warehouse environment)1+ years of experience working in a collaboration platform such as Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar (Jira, Trello, etc)Requires superior teamwork skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must; ability to read, write, and speak in a professional manner.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.Must possess a personal sense of urgency.Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt to changing business priorities.Superior customer service skills.Excellent time management and organizational skills are required.Excellent attention to detail.Large-scale multi-site IS operations experience.PC Hardware and peripheral experience.Knowledge of Microsoft productivity applications.Knowledge of browser-based technology.Additional DataSelect Medical and its parent company, Select Medical Holdings Corporation (NYSE: SEM), are based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and are honored to be recognized as one of America's Best-In-State (Pennsylvania) Employers 2020 by Forbes.For more information, visit selectmedical.com.
