Summary
Job TitleThis position provides professional-level support for the successful operation of the Contract Safety Program.Essential Functions/DutiesAssists in budget preparation and amendments for financial analysis as needed.Attends all technical assistant workshops offered to ensure the Program Specialist has the most current information and knowledge of procedures and regulations.Assists with monitoring of all program operations.Collaborates with the director/manager to ensure program compliance and prepares necessary reports.Coordinates with the director or manager to identify, create, and plan all phases of program activities.Assists program review of the Certification or Completion process if applicable.Serves as a resource point person for questions relating to daily operational aspects of the program.Maintains departmental office fiscal files and records for each program participant if applicable.Develops and maintains program information on the Polk State Website.Serves as the Program Ombudsman.Consults with instructors, student services staff, business office, students, and all other area personnel on issues related to the program.Other duties as assigned, which may vary widely based on program needs.Typical QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Personal Qualifications:Experience working in an office environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience working with enterprise computer systems.Experience working with budgets.Good organizational skills with special attention to detail.Knowledge of office software, including Word and Excel.Working Conditions:This position is a full-time on-campus position located at our Clear Springs (Bartow) campus.
