Summary
We are currently building a candidate pool for potential upcoming Security Officer openings that may become available as business needs evolve. These opportunities may arise on all shifts (2nd, 3rd; full-time or part-time) at various fixed locations in Schenectady, NY. When positions do open and candidates are placed, roles offer set schedules, providing consistency and stability, with a pay rate of $18.00 an hour.We are looking for a reliable and proactive Security Officer to help ensure the safety and security of our premises and residents. This role involves providing excellent customer service, conducting patrols, monitoring security systems, and responding appropriately to security concerns.
What You'll Do
- Conduct regular walking patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor CCTV and other surveillance equipment.
- Complete clear and accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Interact professionally with residents, visitors, and site staff.
- Follow established security procedures and contact emergency services when necessary.
- Observe and report unusual, suspicious, or unsafe activity.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations in a professional manner.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using basic technology, including CCTV systems and reporting tools.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Previous security experience is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.
- Consistent part-time schedule.
