Amazon is seeking a Manager, Public Policy to assist in developing and coordinating fast-moving policy strategy in support of Amazon's commitment to Strive to Be Earth's Best Employer. The Manager, Public Policy will serve in a liaison capacity between Public Policy and multiple business partners. They will develop and execute government affairs advocacy objectives and political priorities for Amazon related to employment and workforce policy at the state & local level. Understanding the big picture, connecting the dots, and diving deep in research will be essential to success in this role. The ideal candidate will be organized, strategic, and have experience leading policy campaigns. This position will work collaboratively with others in public policy and relevant businesses to ensure alignment between business priorities and public policy goals. You will coordinate with others in public policy and relevant businesses to ensure alignment on policy positions, and manage external advocacy efforts and outreach programs. You will lead engagements with trade associations, think tanks, advocacy groups, and other relevant external stakeholders, and anticipate challenges as the public policy landscape evolves.About The TeamThis role sits within the Public Policy team and reports to the Director, Public Policy. The team works collaboratively across public policy, legal, and multiple business partners to ensure alignment between business priorities and public policy goals.
