Summary
Description What You'll Do- Support safety initiatives across all construction projects within the local market.
- Travel between jobsites to conduct safety observations, inspections, and coaching.
- Partner with foremen, superintendents, project managers, and field employees to reinforce safe work practices.
- Assist with OSHA compliance, incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety documentation.
- Deliver safety training and certifications for field employees.
- Monitor safety performance trends and recommend continuous improvements.
- Serve as a trusted safety resource for operations, helping build a proactive, safety-first culture throughout the market.
- At least 3 years of construction safety experience, preferably with a commercial or specialty contractor.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
- A passion for creating a safe work environment through coaching, relationship building, and leading by example.
- The confidence to engage with field employees, foremen, and project teams while earning trust and credibility.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to identify hazards, recommend practical solutions, and follow through on corrective actions.
- Experience conducting jobsite inspections, safety observations, incident investigations, and safety training.
- Willingness to travel throughout the local market to support multiple jobsites.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn company safety reporting systems.
- CHST, ASP, or CSP certification (or working toward certification)
- OSHA 30 and OSHA 500/510 certifications (or the ability to obtain them)
- Experience training and certifying employees on equipment and construction safety topics
- Experience supporting large commercial construction projects or specialty trade contractors
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
