Salary: $32.50 HourlyPosition Summary:The Reserve Police Officer has the responsibility of security in the courtroom, City Hall, City Tax cashier window and the City Council Meetings, prisoner warrant pick up, inmate drop delivery, armed money escort and drafting police reports.Essential Functions:Provides visible security to the court room, City Hall, City Council Meetings and the City Tax cashiers window for both employees and the general public;Conducts warrant pickups within metro Atlanta area and transports; inmates to Fulton County Jail;Provides armed escort for court cashiers and tax cashiers to deposit funds received by City Hall;Drafts police reports as necessary;Performs other related duties as assigned by Chief of Police.Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentMust have more than eight (8) years of service in Law EnforcementMust have an active and valid Georgia certification as a Peace Officer through the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (P.O.S.T.)May be currently employed in Law Enforcement, in good standing in the State of Georgia, with written authorization from the Agency Head to work part-time for the East Point Police DepartmentMay be a former Law Enforcement Officer who meets the minimum years of experience and currently has a valid GA POST Certification as a Peace OfficerMay be Retired from a Law Enforcement Agency, if in good standing with the agency at the time of retirement, and currently has a valid GA POST Certification as a Peace OfficerMust have a valid State of Georgia driver's licenseMay have equivalent combination of education and experienceMust have a “Basic Law Enforcement” certification through the State of Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (PBLE #)#J-18808-Ljbffr
