Election Judges
Election judges are essential to our democracy! Election judges staff polling places, administer election procedures, and ensure the rights of voters are protected on Election Day. The city needs election judges for both the 2026 Primary Election on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 and the 2026 General Election, Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Pay is $14.00 per hour. To be eligible, candidates must:
- Be eligible to vote.
- Be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Not be a spouse, parent, child, or sibling of a candidate on the ballot in the same precinct.
- Complete mandatory election judge training. A link to the training will be emailed to you.
- Pay is $14.00 per hour for Election Judge and $18 per hour for Head Judge.
Training and service on the election days are paid.
