Unarmed Security Officer (Washington, D.C.) – Full-Time and part-time shifts available, Must Work Weekends
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officer for an upscale apartment and retail community in Washington, D.C. This is a full-time roving position (approximately 40 hours per week). Multiple shifts are available, including 10 am - 10 pm, 4 pm - 12 am, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
Weekend availability is mandatory.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid DC Security Officer License
Must have reliable transportation and a working cell phone
Must be able to pass a drug test
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, including in varied weather conditions
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Primary Responsibilities:
Patrol the premises and maintain a visible security presence
Monitor entrances, exits, and surveillance systems
Deter loitering, panhandling, and unauthorized access
Respond promptly to suspicious activity and critical incidents
Enforce property rules and community policies
Write detailed daily activity and incident reports
Rove between assigned areas, including amenity spaces, garages, and common areas
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous security experience or related background in public safety
High School Diploma or GED
Strong attention to detail and observation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently with integrity and professionalism
