Summary
Unarmed Security Officer — Full-Time
Location: Columbus, OH Pay: $15/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
Requirements
- Security experience preferred
- Experience working with children
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Ohio guard card
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication, customer service, and de-escalation skills
- Professional appearance and sound judgment
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening, if required
Responsibilities
- Follow company policies, post orders, and site procedures
- Conduct walking, vehicle, golf cart, or bicycle patrols as assigned
- Monitor for security threats, hazards, unsafe conditions, and emergencies
- Respond appropriately to incidents and notify supervisors or emergency contacts
- Prepare accurate, detailed incident reports
- Perform site-specific duties such as visitor reception, loss prevention, lobby security, elevator security, or loading dock monitoring
- Participate in required training and maintain acceptable attendance and grooming standards
- Provide professional, courteous customer service while helping de-escalate conflicts
Education Requirements (All): HS Diploma GED or H.S. Equivalent
Certification Requirements (All): OH Guard Card
