Court Case Manager 2
The Juneau Trial Court is accepting applications for a Court Case Manager 2 (salary range 12). This position manages assigned court cases from initiation through final disposition, ensuring accurate case processing, docket management, motion tracking, calendaring, and the timely distribution of court orders and other legal documents. As a key member of the clerk's office, the incumbent provides exceptional customer service by assisting the public with court procedures, accepting filings and payments, maintaining court records, responding to inquiries, and providing procedural information without giving legal advice. The position also serves as an in-court clerk, preparing courtrooms, operating recording equipment, administering oaths, documenting proceedings, and providing courtroom support to judicial officers to ensure hearings and trials are conducted efficiently and in accordance with Alaska Court System policies and procedures. Cross-training and providing coverage for other positions within the clerk's office are expected as part of this role.
Because this position includes significant in-court responsibilities, applicants are required to submit a valid keyboarding certificate demonstrating a minimum typing speed of 40 net words per minute (WPM). Employees transferring from another State of Alaska agency may receive consideration for advance step placement.
The work hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.
