Join Our Team - Exterior Vehicle Patrol Security Officer Needed
Retail Property
Position: Exterior Vehicle Patrol Security OfficerSchedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours Weekly
- Saturday-Sunday: 10:00 AM-6:00 PM
- Monday-Tuesday: 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
- Wednesday-Thursday: Off
- Friday: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $15.50-$16.00 (Depending on experience)
This is an active patrol position requiring the officer to operate a company/client patrol vehicle, maintain a visible security presence, and regularly work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct routine vehicle patrols throughout the property, parking lots, and surrounding exterior areas.
- Maintain a visible and proactive security presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized activity.
- Monitor parking areas, storefronts, exterior access points, and other designated areas.
- Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, property damage, and maintenance concerns.
- Professionally interact with tenants, customers, vendors, employees, and Property Management.
- Respond promptly to security concerns, disturbances, and incidents.
- Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, and patrol documentation.
- Safely operate the assigned patrol vehicle and comply with all company and property driving requirements.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Must reside within approximately 20 miles of ZIP Code 77024.
- Scheduling flexibility is required, including the ability to assist with coverage outside the regular schedule when operationally necessary.
- Previous security experience preferred.
- Must be comfortable operating a patrol vehicle for extended periods.
- Must be willing and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor.
- Ability to remain alert, observant, and proactive throughout the shift.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Ability to complete written and electronic security reports accurately.
The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, observant, professional, and customer-service oriented. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and maintaining situational awareness while conducting continuous exterior patrols.
Because this position involves vehicle patrol and exterior security duties, applicants must be comfortable spending a significant portion of their shift driving, entering and exiting the patrol vehicle, and working outdoors in the elements.
