Fleet Training Operations Analyst (Military Operations Analyst 2)

This position is with HII's Mission Technologies division. The Fleet Training Operations Analyst plays a vital technical role in ensuring the accuracy, stability, and reliability of the tactical picture during Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) and Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) exercises. This position is responsible for the continuous operation and optimization of the Global Command and Control System–Maritime (GCCS‑M), GCCS‑Joint (GCCS‑J), and the Common Operational Picture (COP). By managing complex track databases, maintaining seamless failover synchronization, and delivering direct support to deploying Carrier Strike Group (CSG) and Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) units, the GCCS Database Manager ensures commanders have a clear and consistent understanding of the operational environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide comprehensive technical support for GCCS-M, GCCS-J, and the COP during highly dynamic FST and LVC training events.
  • A core function of this role is controlling the daily operation of COP communication channels, MAKO chat, track databases, and COP displays.
  • Execute these operations in strict accordance with the COP concept of operations (CONOPS), applicable Operational Tasking (OPTASK) COP messages, and CFMCC guidance.
  • Monitor track database performance and precisely adjust threshold settings across the Track Management Services (TMS) Master, TMS Gateway, and Radiant Mercury Coalition Gateway to ensure optimum support of current operational requirements.
  • Ensure that alternate track database servers remain perfectly synchronized and updated with current track data, enabling rapid, seamless cutover procedures in the event of a primary server shift.
  • Rigorously monitor track data feeds from subordinate units to ensure all reported tracks meet latency criteria and utilize the appropriate symbols, names, echelons, organization types, and Unique Identifier (UID) codes.
  • Actively support fleet deployment preparation cycles by providing on-site training and technical assistance to CSG and ESG assets.
  • Prepare detailed GCCS architectural drawings for scheduled Initial, Mission, and Final Planning Conferences (IPC/MPC/FPC).
  • Responsible for meticulously tracking all system trouble reports and guiding them through to complete resolution.

What You Must Have:

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Candidate must have extensive experience operating the Global Command and Control System.
  • Candidate must have working knowledge of shipboard systems to include SSDS, AEGIS, Identification Friend or Foe (IFF), Link 16, and Navigation Simulator (NAVSIM).
  • Candidate must have great communication skills and professionalism as the position requires interacting with military leadership.
  • Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
