Summary
Targeting AnalystAbout the role The Targeting Analyst fuses multiple intelligence sources to identify, characterize, and assess target systems in support of operational planning and collection. This position requires deep analytic rigor, structured methodologies, and the ability to uncover knowledge gaps and shape collection strategies. Analysts in this role support mission operations by producing accurate, timely, and actionable intelligence to inform national security decisions.ResponsibilitiesConduct all-source research and analysis on target systems.Prepare analytic products supporting mission operations.Collaborate with intelligence community partners on shared target sets.Identify knowledge gaps and recommend collection requirements.Apply structured analytic methodologies to strengthen assessments.Required qualificationsActive TS/SCI clearance.Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Area Studies, or related field OR 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.5+ years of intelligence analysis experience.Familiarity with IC databases (MIDB, MARS, or equivalent).Preferred qualificationsTargeting training/certification (e.g., DIA/DOD targeting courses).Familiarity with activity-based intelligence.Deployed or operational support experience.
