Job Description:
Reviews and/or prepares notices of violations for the officer and perfects service via certified mail.
Reviews affidavit of violation prior to submittal to the Office of County Attorney.
Determines legal descriptions and property ownership from Tax Collector, Property Appraiser Records and Clerk of Court.
Provides necessary research for the Code Enforcement Officer related to parcels that are in violation.
Provides necessary data input, attaches pertinent documents and creates cases in the computer tracking system.
Communicates with abatement contractor(s) regarding abatements of violations.
Prepares supporting documents for case investigations.
Compiles information for public records requests.
Updates the Code of Ordinances of Sarasota County Florida with administered supplements.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Minimum Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or its equivalent
2 to 5 years of clerical experience.
An Associate's Degree can substitute for the required experience
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of experience in code enforcement is preferred
Related Professional Certification preferred
FACE Certification
Pay: $16.75 - $18.50
