$26.25 - $38.87 Hourly

About the Opportunity:

One Irvine Workforce Presents:Maintenance WorkerApprenticeship (Limited Term*)

Starting pay rate: $27.00 per hour

$56,160.00 per year + comprehensive benefits package

*This position is full-time, at-will, and budgeted for 14 months with the approximate program period of late October 2026 through December 31, 2027.

The Maintenance Worker Apprenticeplays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the safety, functionality, and aesthetic of our public spaces, including streets, parks, facilities, equipment and infrastructure by performing essential tasks such as litter removal, traffic safety setup, equipment maintenance, and assisting in construction, repair, and electrical work.

The One Irvine Workforce Apprenticeship Program is funded through the California Volunteers Youth Service Corps grant. In addition to employment, apprentices participate in innovative trainings, professional development opportunities, and mentorship, all while supporting some of Irvine's most important initiatives. HOURS: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per work, with shifts scheduled Monday - Friday. Maintenance Workers must maintain one of the following schedules listed below:


The Process
The selection process will include an interview and a background investigation prior to appointment. This recruitment may establish an eligibility list to fill future positions in similar and/or lower classifications within the organization.
