Summary
A well-established company in Lexington, SC is seeking a professional Dispatcher/Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team. This is a full time, permanent/direct hire position with full benefits . The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or construction, and will have strong Excel skills.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule truck deliveries
- Manage and dispatch a fleet of 60 + trucks and semi-trucks
- Monitor delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive accurately and on time
- Track truck locations, routing efficiency, and delivery progress
- Receive and process customer orders via phone and email
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve service-related issues in a professional and timely manner
- Communicate schedule changes, delivery updates, and job site concerns with customers, drivers, and internal teams
- Maintain accurate records of daily orders, deliveries, and dispatch activities
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to adjust schedules and accommodate changing customer needs
- Partner with fleet maintenance personnel regarding equipment availability, preventative maintenance, and repair scheduling
- Identify and proactively resolve logistical challenges
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, construction, or customer service
- Strong Excel Skills (Including Pivot Tables & V Lookups)
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service
- Ability to read maps and coordinate personnel and equipment efficiently
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team approach
- Monday-Friday (8am to 6pm)
- Typical workload of 50-60 hours per week
- Participation in a rotating weekend on-call/dispatch schedule approximately once every 6-8 weekends
- Weekend rotation is highly structured and planned in advance for the entire calendar year
- $60,000 - $80,000 (depending on experience & qualifications)
