Summary
Senior Undergraduate Intern
The selected applicant will spend the semester at the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics office in downtown Oklahoma City. During their time at ODAA, the applicant will enhance their knowledge of state aviation by assisting the Airport Division with airport inspections, pavement inspections, statewide system planning, and various airport projects as needed. There may also be opportunities to participate in activities for aero education, Advanced Air Mobility (Drones), outreach/advocacy, and special events.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to work in office 15-20 hours/week during regular Office Hours (M-F, 7:30am-6:00pm)
- Preference given if able to devote at least 1 full day (8am – 5pm) to working at ODAA
- Must be able to provide one's own transportation to and from ODAA's office in downtown OKC
- Must be able to complete tasks effectively both in an office setting and in the field
- Must be an effective communicator by phone, email, and in person
- Must demonstrate ability to work well with others
- Must demonstrate ability to work on projects with minimal supervision
- Must possess a knowledge of performing general administrative tasks including the ability to operate a personal computer with Microsoft Office programs and skills in organizing, compiling, and recording information accurately
Application Requirements
- 2.75 overall retention GPA or higher
- 3.00 major (Aviation) retention GPA or higher
- Must be a junior or senior enrolled in an undergraduate aviation-related degree program
Pay and Benefits
- Pay rate is $12.85/hour
