Summary

The Operations Section of King County Solid Waste Division is actively seeking skilled and safety-conscious Truck Drivers to support essential waste management services across the County. We are hiring for three (3) Term Limited Temporary (TLT)/Special Duty Assignment (SDA) positions. The TLT/SDA positions are expected to last approximately six (6) months, with the possibility of extension.

About the Role:

These positions will safely haul refuse material from our transfer stations to our landfill in Maple Valley and complete other associated tasks. You can view a list of the transfer stations at: http://your.kingcounty.gov/solidwaste/facilities/transfer.asp .

About the Team:

The award-winning and innovative Solid Waste Division has been recognized for operational excellence and is now developing partnerships to transition to a sustainable, circular economy to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

The Division's line of business includes waste prevention, resource recovery, and waste disposal. This robust and dynamic enterprise-funded division has an annual budget exceeding $160 million. More than 400 employees create value for customers across 10 locations, which include eight recycling and transfer stations. Resources are harvested on-site, and refuse is transported by the Solid Waste Division to the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill in Maple Valley.
