Position Description
Employees in this classification are responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities in a specialty or subspecialty outpatient clinic as assigned from the resource nurse pool. This job to be used in Resource Nurse pool only. Incumbents perform a variety of general and specialized nursing duties to provide the patient with complete evaluations. Work is performed under the direction of a licensed (RN/LVN) nurse or physician as part of a total health care team in providing complete evaluations to patients.

Major/Essential Functions

• Perform a wide variety of patient care activities in a specialty or subspecialty outpatient clinic as assigned from the resource nurse pool.
• Perform a variety of general and specialized nursing duties to provide the patient with complete evaluations.
• Work is performed under the direction of a licensed (RN/LVN) nurse or physician as part of a total health care team in providing complete evaluations to patients.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized program of nursing.
• One to two years of experience are preferred in a hospital, clinic or community based setting.
• Certification in the state of Texas as a Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse.
