Position DescriptionPerforms coordinative work in the business or administrative operation of a specific department or college. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a department as well as the monitoring operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise staff or student assistants.
Major/Essential Functions- Support the Values Based Culture of Texas Tech University Health Science Center (TTUHSC).
- Complies with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicates with TTUHSC Clinical and Nursing staff to support patient scheduling for specialty clinics, procedures, and surgeries.
- Effectively coordinates with TDCJ security staff to manage patient transportation between facilities and on-site patient housing.
- Responsible for daily duties related to patient admissions, registration, and discharge for an In-patient medical facility and an in-patient behavioral health facility.
- Responsible for gathering and producing various data reports related to access to care and patient population.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or progressively responsible related experience to equal six (6) years.
