Job DescriptionStudent Technician I - SCBA $14.74 per hour College Station, Texas - Off Campus (On-Site)The Role at a GlanceThe Student Technician I, under direct supervision, performs basic functional inspection of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus, assists with regular maintenance and inspection of SCBA/SCBA masks and all associated equipment. The Student Technician I will also assist with training classes in the use and refilling of SCBA. Assists with operation and preventative maintenance of breathing air compressors. May be required to assist other programs such as Extinguishers, Mechanics, Maintenance, and Construction with facilities operations.
This position reports to the Training Support Foreman I.

Qualifications of the Role - High school diploma or GED, and current enrollment in a degree granting program at an accredited college or university.
- Any building trades, maintenance or lawn care experience to include any combination of the following: Welding, carpentry, concrete, heavy equipment operation and the use of hand/power tools.
- Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications- Any Emergency Services or equipment operation experience.
