Description

Overview

The Water Resource Specialist is responsible for evaluation and coordination of internal and external water conservation plans and conservation program activities for Corpus Christi Water. This position also reviews documentation pertaining to conservation planning and conservation educational and outreach specifications.

Responsibilities

• Implements approved water conservation programs and track milestones to ensure the program's efficiency

• Meets regularly with management and stakeholders and provide updates on water conservation programs to maintain ongoing communication

• Supports the development of service agreements and supply contracts for water resources

• Monitors the agreements and contracts to ensure continuity of services

• Supports, tracks, and records data for water conservation programs that promote and educate water resources

• Reviews data with management on a regular basis to ascertain its accuracy and address any patterns or trends

• Develops and manages communication initiatives to promote the plans and presentations for water conservation and water resources

• Collaborates with the internal communication team to ensure consistency in messaging

• Supports CCW management with water conservation budget and activity plans

• May be asked to perform additional duties, as assigned

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work

• Exempt - Full-Time - 40-hour work week

• Must be available to work additional hours as needed

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement

• In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)

• Four (4) years of experience

Licenses and Certifications

Required

• A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hiring

Basis of Rating

A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications. The city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview
